Wanna Share?

Those were the very first words Starsky spoke to Hutch in the Pilot episode which aired on April 30, 1975. And sharing is how SHareCon — the Starsky & Hutch slash convention that’s been running continuously in some format since 1988 or 89 — got its name.

From Sept 19-22 this year, fans will once again come together to share with each other our zines, art, diecast Torinos and other goodies, as well as our love for the show and its beloved actors and characters.

As April Valentine wrote in “Herstory of ShareCon” for the 2000 SHareCon zine, sharing has always been a part of Starsky & Hutch fandom.

While most of the historical SHareCons were in person (in or near Baltimore, MD), recent technology has allowed us to offer both an in-person and a virtual (Zoom) option. The con offers three fun-filled days of programming including vid shows, episode watches, panels, games and more, while we talk endlessly about our two favorite guys and their steadfast love for each other.

If you’d like to attend, there are only a couple more days to register. For more info and to register, go to https://sharecon.net/.

While this year’s SHareCon won’t have a printed zine for various reasons (too expensive to print, too time-consuming to publish), don’t despair, because there will be a countdown calendar with ten days of original, never-before published gifts that will include fic, poems, artwork, puzzles, and more. The countdown calendar works similar to the yearly advent calendar, and will count down for ten days before the start of the con, beginning on Sept 9th and running through Sept 18th, with new gifts revealed each day.
