Happy 50th Anniversary!

Today is April 30, 2025, a very special day – it’s officially the 50th anniversary of Starsky & Hutch! This groundbreaking show premiered as the ABC Movie of the Week on April 30, 1975 and introduced us to the now-iconic characters Dave Starsky, Ken Hutchinson, Huggy Bear and Captain Dobey as well as the duo’s police call sign “Zebra 3” and Starsky’s iconic red-and-white-stripe Gran Torino, aka the striped tomato.

A heartfelt thank you to creator William Blinn, executive producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg, and of course David Soul, Paul Michael Glaser, Antonio Fargas and Bernie Hamilton for giving us fifty years of friendship, love, and Me & Thee.

There are many celebrations taking place by fans around the world to celebrate the S&H 50th anniversary, including a recently-held fan event in Birmingham, England that included video greetings from Paul Michael Glaser and Antonio Fargas.

This weekend in San Diego, CA, there will be a special event where fans, joined by Paul Michael Glaser and Antonio Fargas, accompanied by the iconic Torino, will pay honor to the show and to the memory of our beloved David Soul and Bernie Hamilton. This event will be Paul’s last public appearance commemorating his role as Starsky.

To honor this momentous occasion, here’s a heartfelt, brand-new vid from longtime fan Mybuddy1975 Productions, “Happy 50 Years to Starsky & Hutch.”
